The company which runs the airport at Paphos as said it is outraged at the 2 hour strikes that have taken place during the day by members of staff. These strikes have come as the tourist town enters the height of the summer season where it can expect thousands of visitors to flock to its beautiful beaches and water parks. The Government in Cyprus was meant to be handling the ongoing talks between the two sides but obviously something went wrong and the staff decided to walk out leaving many passengers stranded. Anna Vissi, a Cyprus woman through & through has be singing in Paphos for the first time in seventeen years. Performing on the 9th July, the singer - who is often seen as the Greek Madonna, lit up the stage at the Pafiakos Stadium in Paphos. The Cyprus parliament has given the go-ahead for a new Island-wide bus service thereby connecting all the major hubs such as Paphos and Nicosia. This is really good news and something the Island has been in need of for some time. The new service however will be postponed until September this year due to a number of issues still to be resolved with the bus companies etc however soon people will hopefully be able to get from the other end of the Island to Paphos for as little as 10 euros! How great is that! Even better, school kids, soldiers and social holders will get to travel for Free!
